For the fans of the kissing booth franchise, there is good news that will definitely make their day. Kissing Booth is back with a brand new instalment with all the drama of Elle, Lee and Noah. The second movie ended with a difficult choice for Elle who would take her life-changing decision in this movie. Fans of their respective ship would be keeping their fingers crossed to hope that she picks the man they have backed up. Tensions would be high and we are here for it!
The cast of our favourite movie
The definite cast that would come back for the third movie is:
- Joey King as Elle Evans
- Joel Courtney as Lee Flynn
- Jacob Elordi as Noah Flynn
- Taylor Zakhar Perez as Marco Peña
Reports suggest that these actors can have screen time too:
- Meganne Young as Rachel
- Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Chloe Winthrop
- Molly Ringwald as Mrs Flynn
Second Movie shenanigans
The second movie of the Kissing Booth franchise was a rollercoaster of emotions for all the characters. They saw the exhilaration of winning games, setting up another kissing booth and enjoying the last year of high school but with that came the lows. The insecurities of Elle regarding her ever-popular boyfriend Noah bloomed and mistrust brewed with the entry of Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Chloe Winthrop. The relationship between Rachel and Lee was tested and they eventually broke up. But the real problem came with the applications for their universities.
On one hand, she had the acceptance letter for Berkeley with Lee, her best friend, and all the emotional attachments that came with their mothers going to the same school. And on the other, she had an acceptance letter from Harvard to go with Noah, her boyfriend. The third movie would be testing her choice to choose between her best friend and boyfriend.
Expectations from the third movie
We obviously expect the decision of Elle, but the last instalment won’t be just about her. Director Vince Marcello has also revealed that the third movie would be more than that. The third movie would also focus on the rest of the characters and their developments.
The third film will be “the culmination of this coming-of-age story — not just for Elle, but for Noah and Lee, as well. Although their paths are entwined, each has their own journey with a set of challenges that they need to overcome before closing the chapter of their lives that was adolescence and beginning their new journey into adulthood.”
He added that he’s “most excited about giving fans a joyful and emotionally satisfying ending to The Kissing Booth. After all, the love they’ve shown for this franchise, they deserve nothing less.” Preach.
