In just one week, the platform gained over one million new users, reaching a total of 15 million. This momentum coincides with dissatisfaction among X users, driven by controversial leadership and policy decisions.
Elon Musk, the owner of X, has faced criticism for his active promotion of political content favoring President-elect Donald Trump. These actions, coupled with prior decisions to reinstate banned accounts and reduce moderation, have alienated many users. Reports indicate that numerous prominent figures have left X to join Bluesky, highlighting a shift in social media dynamics.
